Faison - Franklin Quinn Rogers, 77, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center. Mr. Rogers was born July 11, 1941 in New Hanover County, NC to the late Harvey Leslie Rogers and Ruth Irene Strickland Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his loving wife, Mary Pate Rogers of the home; son, David Franklin Rogers and wife, Claudia of Faison; daughters, Annie Ruth Rogers Knox and husband, Jeffrey of Kernersville, and Rebecca Rogers Mayo and husband, Kevin of Lucama; and three grandchildren, Anna Grace Mayo, Phillip Brandon Knox and Caitlyn Nicole Knox. A funeral service will be held 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Community Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw, NC. Visitation will follow the service. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Friday February 1, 2019 in Pate Cemetery, Mount Olive, NC.

Rose Hill - Eglantine Wilborn Zirkli, 99, of Rose Hill passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Zirkli was known to her friends as “Tine”. Tine was born in Person County, August 21, 1919 to the late James William Wilborn and Kathryn Hawkins Murray Wilborn.
Tine is survived by son, Kenneth H. Bailey, Jr.; daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Bailey Watson and husband, Ebern T. Watson, Jr. and Kathryn Knox Bailey Olsen and husband, Bernie Olsen; grandchildren, Symanthia Rae Watson, Ebern T. Watson III “Tripp”, Aimee Kathryn Watson Green, Emily Kathryn Wibberley, Molly Amelia Wibberley, Erin Amanda Wibberley; great grandchildren, Jordan Montgomery Green, Sage Bryan Wibberley, Bella Rose Wibberley and Kody Evers Radford. Kenansville - Elizabeth Jewel Johnson Torrans Taylor, 84, of Kenansville passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Mrs. Taylor was born in Sampson County March 20, 1934 to the late Amos Johnson and Maggie Edwards Johnson. Mrs. Taylor was the co-founders and President of the Duplin County Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC). A funeral service will be held 4:00pm Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Warsaw Baptist Church with visitation to follow. A private entombment will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Devotional Gardens. Mrs. Taylor is survived by husband, Charles Taylor of Kenansville; daughters, Telza T. Warsaw - Johnny Carlton, 71, died Wednesday January 2, 2019 at Vidant Duplin Hospital. Mr. Carlton was born May 7, 1947 in Duplin County, NC to Ward House Carlton and Mildred Gurley Carlton.
Visitation will held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Duplin County Club, with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will conclude the service in Devotional Gardens. Mr. Carlton is survived by wife, Connie A. Carlton of the home; son, Mitchell Ron Carlton and wife, Brooke of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Leigh Ann Carlton of Warsaw; four grandchildren, Summer Michelle Carlton, D J Morrisey, Kaylin Carlton Lewis and husband, Garrett, and Ashleigh Parkin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carlton was preceded in death by son, Michael Carlton, brother, Henry Carlton and step-brother, Bobbie Bizzell. Emma Ola Boney Tucker, 98, of Magnolia, NC died December 31, 2018 at The Gardens of Rose Hill. She was a long-time member of Magnolia Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Magnolia Baptist Church January 2, 2019, 1 pm followed by funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, NC.
