Kenansville-Dennis Wayne Henderson, 68, of Kenansville passed away unexpectedly at ECU Duplin Hospital Saturday, October 14, 2023.  Mr. Henderson was born in Pender County April 21, 1955 to Margaret Wagstaff Henderson and the late Leon L. Henderson.  
Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son.  Dennis loved teaching his son and his grandchildren some of life's lessons that they needed to know as they grew up.  He liked farm animals and had owned horses and stilled raised goats.  He was a down to earth family man.
A visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2023 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw.  Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens.
Left to cherish his memory is wife, Kathy Edwards Henderson of the home; son Dustin Wayne Henderson and wife, Amanda of Kenansville; Mother, Margaret W. Henderson of Kenansville; grandchildren, Dakota Wayne Henderson, Taylor Grace Henderson and Malorie Henderson all of Kenansville; niece, Brooke Henderson Gwynn and husband, Kyle of Back Swamp, nephew, Jeremy Thomas Henderson and wife, Shelby of Kenansville; 4 great nephews and 1 great nieces.
In addition to his father, Dennis was preceded in death by brother, Jesse Langley Henderson.

Kenansville - Lynda Sue Logan Bowden, 82, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at her home. Lynda was born November 12, 1940 Cleveland County, NC Lawrence and Helen Cornwell Logan.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 15, 2023 in Golden Grove Cemetery, Kenansville, NC.

​She is survived husband, James Nicholas Bowden of the home; daughters, Helene Marie King and Michael Hiner of Cross Junction VA, Laura King of Bangor, Maine, Jennifer Nicole Bowden, and Katherine Shaver Bowden both of Kenansville; six grandchildren, Javier Nicholas King, Kayla Elizabeth Jacobs and husband, Teal, Logan Kohl Edwards, Ivey Grace Bowden, Kenneth Nicholas Grady, Kaitlan Noel Smith; three great grandchildren, Theodore Strickland, Avery Jacobs and Chole Jacobs. She is also survived by brothers, Larry Logan and Mark Padick of Chapel Hill and Lane Logan and Donna; sisters Mary Helen Tate of Kings Mountain and Sally Carpenter of Anderson, SC.

Magnolia - Alberta Mary Arispe Jarman, 67, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at ECU Health in Kenansville, NC. She was born March 22, 1956 in Abelene, TX to Alberto Arispe and Demencia Monreal Arispe.

Mrs. Jarman is survived by her husband, Johnny Ray Jarman of the home; brothers Charles, Henry and Richard Arispe; sisters Judy, Pepper and Geneva Arispe; 48 nieces and 18 nephews.

Warsaw - Charles Franklin Dunn, 61, passed away October 10, 2023 in Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC.  Mr. Dunn was born March 12, 1962 in Duplin County to Myrtie Grace Davis Dunn and the late Guy Marshall Dunn.  

A funeral service will be held 7:00pm, Friday, October 13, 2023 in Community Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw, with visitation to follow.  A graveside burial will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Maplewood Cemetery, Mount Olive, NC. 

​Mr. Dunn is survived by his loving wife, Mandy S. Dunn of the home; two children, Johnny Dunn of Warsaw and Erin Michelle Dunn of Warsaw; grandson, Carter Marshall Dunn of Warsaw; brothers, Timothy Dunn and wife, Sheila of Warsaw and Benjamin Dunn and wife, Billie Joe of Mount Olive; and sisters, Evelyn Turner and husband, "PeeWee" of Warsaw and Connie Arnett and fiancée, John Merritt of Warsaw.

Kenansville-Judy Henderson Holmes, 78, of Kenansville passed away Saturday, September 30 at Warsaw Health and Rehab. Mrs. Holmes was born August 10, 1945 to the late Duncan Henderson and Vissie Davis Henderson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.

Mrs. Holmes leaves to cherish her memory son, Gene Holmes (Jo Ellen) of Warsaw; daughter, Kay Raynor of Kenansville; brothers, Arnold Henderson (Carolyn) of Kenansville and Bruce Henderson (Debbie) of Faison; sister, Annette Bostic of Chinquapin; grandchildren, Johnathan Tyler Holmes, Elizabeth Grace Marshall (Chris) and Cody Herring (Katelyn); great grandchildren, Jaydn Marshall, Gracin Marshall, Gibson Ray Herring and Mack Herring.

Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by grandson, Carl Gene Holmes, Jr.; great grandson, Channing Holmes and brother,  Jesse Ray Henderson.
