Spring Lake-Annie Byrd Duryea, 79, of Spring Lake formerly of Warsaw passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Duryea was born November 24, 1939 in Duplin County to the late John Byrd and Martha Hare Byrd. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Community Funeral Home Chapel of Warsaw. A visitation will take place at 10:00am Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Faison Cemetery. Mrs. Duryea is survived by husband, Richard Duryea of the home; daughters, Robin Neumann and husband, Robert of Hilton Head, SC, Stephanie Garner of Lillington and Michelle Harris and husband, Terry of Fayetteville; step daughters Darcey Martin and husband, Shawn of Manhattan, Kansas, Chelsee Bannon and husband, Rae of Douglass, Kansas; brothers, Henry Byrd and wife, Adelaide of Warsaw, and Luther Byrd of Seabrook, TX; sisters, Virginia Todd of Warsaw and Margaret Fields of Kenansville; grandchildren, Allison Roberts, Tyler Schaub, Dakota Schaub, Gabriele Folker and special grandchild, Zebby Schrump, and six step grandchildren; great grandchildren, Kingston Roberts, Julian Roberts and one step great grandchild; and special friend, Lounell Crumpler. In addition to her parents Mrs. Duryea was preceded in death by great grandchild, Shayne Roberts.

Warsaw - Mary Eleanor Hughes Rackley, 72, died Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC. Mrs. Rackley was born October 11, 1946 in New Hanover County, NC to Robert Hughes Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Branch Hughes.
Visitation will be held 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.,Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw, Inc. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday July 24, 2019 in Community Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Calypso Cemetery. Magnolia - Carol Jeanne Pate Baker, 64, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at her home. Carol was born June 30, 1955 in Sampson County, NC to Maurice Pate and Frances Harris Pate. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Magnolia Baptist Church. Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, Stanley Earl Baker of the home; sisters, Anne Frances Pate of Hendersonville, TN, Paula Dixon Pate Case and husband, Terry of Roseboro,NC, and Margaret Wood Pate Bryant of Fayetteville, NC. She was born on May 26, 1922, in Beulaville, NC, to Marshall and Ida Jackson Cummings. Her husband, Steven English, preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 68 years. She is survived by four children; Jimmie (late Gracie) of Warsaw; Linda (Buddy) Pope of Wallace; Amery (Barbara) of Charleston, SC; and Betty of Raleigh. Six grandchildren: Treva (Stephen) Williamson, of Kenansville; Jeff (Laura) Pope, of Wake Forest; Jerry Pope of Wilmington; Christy George of Morganton, WV; April (Bobby) Sullivan, of Wake Forest; and Steven (Chrissy) English, of Ravenel, SC; Nine great-grandchildren: Stephene Williamson of Kenansville; James David (Nikki) Williamson of Warsaw; Paul Williamson of Kenansville; Mary Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Catherine Pope, and Virginia Pope, all of Wake Forest; Catelyn and Hayden George of Morganton, WV; One great-great grandchild: Brantley Williamson, Kenansville. Visitation with the family will be held at Community Funeral Home, Warsaw, NC, on Tuesday, July 16th, at 1pm prior with a funeral service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Warsaw. Rose Hill, NC - Angelina Calzada Camacho, 75, passed away July 1, 2019 at her home. Angelina was born January 7, 1944 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico to Angel Calzada and Felicita Robles Torres.
Mrs. Camacho is survived by her loving husband, Victor Camacho of the home; beloved children, Eddie Camacho of Magnolia, Victor Camacho, Jr. and wife, Terryce of Magnolia and Alice C. Bland and husband, Keith of Magnolia; and sister, Celeste Ramirez Calzada. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ray Camacho, Victoria Camacho, Matthew Bland, Alexis Bland Beall and husband, Paul, Frankie Camacho, Amber Camacho, and Brandon Camacho. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Dobson Chapel Baptist Church, with visitation following the service. |
