Kenansville - Leona Jackson Brinson, 99, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at The Magnolia in Clinton, NC. Mrs. Brinson was born November 14, 1919 in Duplin County to James Hopkins Jackson and Lucy Brinson Jackson. She is the widow of Maurice Brinson.
She is survived by son, James Brinson of Winchester, Va. and daughter, Nadine B. Blanton, Clinton, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Christa Bass and husband Eddie and Stephen Blanton; great grandchildren, Ashley Bass and Matt Bass and wife, Shey and great-great grandchildren, Talen and Layla, also many nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Community Funeral Home Chapel. Warsaw - Mary Lee Jones, 88, of Warsaw passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Mary Gran Nursing Home of Clinton. Mrs. Jones was born in Duplin County October 14, 1930 to the late Ralph Jones and Bessie Cooper Jones.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Pinecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Jones is survived by sons, Whit Jones and wife, Barbara of Kenansville and Tyler Jones and wife, Kathy of Hendersonville; daughter, Susan J. Tucker and husband, Neal of Clemmons; brother, Gerald Jones and wife, Deloris of Warsaw; grandchildren, Justin Tucker and wife, Julia, Anna Austin and husband, Clifton, Allen Jones and wife, Kelly, Benjamin Jones, Whitney Bryant and husband, Ethan, John Tyler Jones and Sarah Jones; great grandchildren, Aubrey Bryant, Alaya Austin, Anderson Tucker, Elwood Austin and Abram Jones. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by husband, Norman Jones; brothers, Sam Jones, Charles Jones; sisters, Elizabeth Cobb, Frances Dollard and Martha Hodges. Kenansville - Nannie Sue Chambers Mitchell, 74, of Kenansville passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at InPatient Hospice at Vidant Pitt. Mrs. Mitchell was born March 8, 1945 in Duplin County to the late Andrew Pickett Chambers and Mertie Miller Chambers.
A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Devotional Gardens. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by brother, Billy Ray Chambers of Kenansville, grandchildren, Christopher Ralph and R. C. Ingle both of Kenansville, special nephew, Danny Houston of VA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by husband, Larry Mitchell, daughters, Trina Mitchell Best, Lori Ann Mitchell, brothers Adrew Chambers and Elbert Houston. |
