Glenora Ann Tomberlin Stepp

​Kenansville - Glenora Ann Tomberlin Stepp, 75, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at her home.  Mrs. Stepp was born June 7, 1944 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Samuel Preston Tomberlin and Margaret Chapman Tomberlin. 

Mrs. Stepp is survived by her husband, Zan Stepp of the home, daughters, Tonda S. Strickland and husband, Jerry of Kenansville, NC and Zana S. Willis and husband, Ben of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren, Brenna Willis, Laura Ashley Strickland and Alyssa Strickland.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stepp was preceded in death by brother, Preston Tomberlin.

All services will be private.

The family request no flowers but memorials may be made to Pet Friends of Duplin County, P. O. Box 152, Wallace, NC 28466 in Glenora Stepps memory.

Helen Ann Griffin Rouse

​Rose Hill - Helen Ann Griffin Rouse, 91, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at The Garden of Rose Hill. Mrs. Rouse was born September 13, 1928 in Duplin County, NC to the late George Oliver Griffin and Helen Eakins Griffin.  

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Fussell Cemetery.  We ask all attendee to be mindful and practice good social distancing.

Mrs. Rouse is survived by daughters, Judy R. Jones and husband, Glenn of Rose Hill, Nancy Skipper of Viladia, GA; three grandchildren, Amy Jones and fiancé, Brian Cavenaugh, Sommer Jones and fiancé, Dion Graham and April Skipper; two great grandchildren, Autumn and Austin Mattox; one great-great granddaughter, Karsyn Lnn Smith; and brother-in-law Hugh Rouse and Stella of Rose Hill. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rouse was preceded in death by husband, Chester Joseph Rouse; brother, Leonard W. Griffin; sisters, Dorothy Fussell and Laurie Maughan and great grandson, William Mattox.

Dorothy Arlene Potter Kornegay

​Kenansville - Dorothy Arlene Potter Kornegay, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her home.  She was born July 19, 1946 in Duplin County, NC to the late John Daniel Potter and Ada Mae Pate Potter. 

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Donald Kornegay of the home; daughter, Tonya K. Bostic of Kenansville; grandchildren, Kyle Bostic, Daniel Bostic and wife, Stephanie, Shelia Bostic, Keith Bostic; great grandchildren, Luke Bostic, Elijah Bostic, Emmanuel Bostic, Shaun Carlton, Zoie Bostic, Jake Bostic.  She is also survived by sisters; Shelva Jean Brock of Kenansville, Rachel Holland and husband, Billy of Warsaw; sister-in-law, Cynthia Potter of Kenansville; brother-in-law, Billy Ray Chambers, Sr.

In addition to the parents, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Ronnie Bostic, brother, Tommy Potter; sister, Addie Chambers, and brother-in-law, Jack Brock. 

Due to Covid-19, a private service and burial will be held.  Family and friends may come by the funeral home to view and sign the register 10am - 5pm Thursday, May 21, 2020.

​​Turkey-Sam Hill Williams, III, 72, of Turkey passed away Saturday morning May 16, 2020.
Mr. Williams was born in Pitt County to the late Sam Hill Williams, II and Mary Jones Williams Taylor.

A private service will be held due to the rules and regulations of  Covid 19.

Mr. Williams is survived by sons, Timmy Williams and Warren Williams of Turkey; grandchildren, Allen Williams and wife, Jillian, Samantha Nethercutt and husband, James Jena Grace Williams and Allyson Williams; great grandchildren Everly Nethercutt and Wyatt Williams.

In addition to his parents Mr. Williams was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Matthews Williams, sister, Mary Ann Matthis and step-father Ceness Taylor.

​Warsaw-Ronnie Lee Torrans, Jr., 60, of Warsaw passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home.  Mr. Torrans was born November 9, 1959 in Sampson County to Ronnie Lee Torrans and the late Joan Lanier Torrans.

A private funeral service will be held due to the Covid 19 regulations.

Mr. Torrans is survived by daughter, Brooke T. Casteen and husband, James of Wallace; father, Ronnie Lee Torrans of Warsaw; brother, Brian Torrans of Warsaw; sisters, Sandy Griffin and husband, Johnny of Warsaw and Debbie Campbell and husband, Jerry of Ocean Isle; grandchildren, Carson Casteen, Connor Casteen and Karlee Casteen.

Warsaw - Charles Richard Harper, 67, died May 5, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.  Mr. Harper was born March 17, 1953 in Duplin County, NC to the late Thomas Harper and Mildred Jordan Harper.  Mr. Harper served his country in the US Air Force.

A private graveside service will be held.
