Martha Vernell Phipps Pope

Wallace-Martha Vernell Phipps Pope, 68, of Wallace passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at UNC Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Mrs. Pope was born April 29, 1953 in Sampson County to the late Issac Phipps and Nelda Bradshaw Phipps.

A graveside service service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.

Mrs. Pope is survived by her husband, James Pope of the home; son, Andy Pope and wife, Kellie of Beulaville; brothers, Billy Phipps and wife, Gloria of Turkey, Sammy Phipps of Clinton and Thomas and wife, Renee of Kenansville; sister, Myra Taylor of Warsaw; grandchildren, Karlie Pope and Raegan Pope; great grandchildren, Kenslie Mobley and Olivia Mobley and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pope, was preceded in death by daughter, Robin Lee Pope.
