Joyce Batchelor Cavenaugh

Wallace - Joyce Batchelor Cavenaugh, 84, of Wallace passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Lenoir Assisted Living in Pink Hill. Mrs. Cavenaugh was born in Onslow County April 2, 1935 to the late John Henry Batchelor and Sarah Lena Batchelor.

A funeral service will be held at 7pm Monday, May 20, 2019 at Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be at 11:00am Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Henderson Family Cemetery at Pin Hook.

Mrs. Cavenaugh is survived by son, Timothy Guy Cavenaugh and wife, Sheila of Wallace; daughter, Nenia DeFrancis and husband, Donnie of Wallace; brother Troy Batchelor and wife, Annette of Richlands; grandchildren, Angela DeFrancis, Audrey Barnhill and husband, Jake, Kyle DeFrancis, Thomas Karsten, Keith Karsten and wife, Jade; great grandchildren, Kinley Barnhill, Kolton Barnhill and John Karsten; brother-in-law Leamon Cavenaugh and wife, Mildred; sister-in-law Shirley Cavenaugh; special friend, Barbara “Mary” Corbett.

​In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cavenaugh was preceded in death by husband, Homer Guy Cavenaugh and brother, John Love Batchelor and wife, Helen.
