Erwin Gill Sloan

TURKEY, NC-Mr. Erwin Gill Sloan, 99, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 6, 2020 in his home surrounded by family.

Mr. Sloan is survived by his wife of 72 years, Winnifred H. Sloan; his sons Robert (Bobby) and wife Darlene of Buena Vista, VA, Erwin (David) of Magnolia, Ricky and wife Cathy of Kenansville, Norman and fiance, Maryann of Hampstead and Aaron and Rosemond of Turkey. 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; brother, Reuben (Carnell) of Kinston and many neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Sloan, Sr. of Calypso, infant son, George F. Sloan; brothers, Melvin Sloan of Winston Salem, Keith Sloan, Jr. of Goldsboro, Daniel Sloan of Ocala, FL; sisters, Thelma Boetcher Boone of Virginia Beach, VA and Edna Davis of Calypso; grandson, Michael G. Sloan of Hampstead.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Warsaw Methodist Church. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm and memorial services to follow. Reverend Vito Bisogno will preside and grandson, Alan Sloan, will deliver the eulogy.

A service of National Cremation. All flowers would need to be delivered to the church or to the family.
