Warsaw - Blanche Leigh Grady Jones, 93 of Warsaw passed away August 31, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Jones was born May 29, 1927 in Duplin County to the late Barney Daniel Grady and Jeffrey Lewis Grady. Mrs. Jones was a teacher’s assistant in public school system for many years. She was also a member of the Honorary Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. A visitation will be held at 10:30am Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her home at 476 Eva James Rd., Warsaw, NC. The funeral service will be held at the home at 11:00am following the visitation. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens. Mrs. Jones leaves to cherish her memory sons, James B. “Jay” Jones Jr. and wife, Laura of Kenansville, Dr. Joseph Timothy “Joe” Jones and wife, Mary of Streamwood, IL; daughter, Katrina J. Grady and husband, Tommy of Kenansville; grandchildren, Barney Daniel Grady and wife, Vonda, Timothy Grady and wife, DeEllen, Kay Leigh Parker and husband, Bradley, James B. “Jayme” Jones III and wife, Ashley, Dr. Christa Jones Burgette and husband, David, and Steed Sutton Jones and wife, Hayley; great grandchildren, Daniel Grady, Sylva Leigh Parker, Paisley Parker, Adley Parker, Lily Parker, Ella Grady Elouise Grady, Esther Grady, Levy Grady, ArlyJones, Aerilyn Jones and Brody Burgette special friend and sister-in-law Josephine Russ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by husband, James B. Jones, daughter, Sylvia Wiggins, great grandson, Colton Burgette, brother, Arey Grady, Libie Grady sisters, Maebell G. Summerlin and Elizabeth G. Rhodes.

I have known Ms Blanche for many years. I met her through Sylvia. She was a real Southern Lady. Linda Batts made her a Santa Claus and took it to her and we would spend time with her. My thoughts and prayers are with u all. Dorothy
