Joseph Ardell Whaley

Teachey - Joseph Ardell Whaley, 76, formerly of Faison, NC passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026 in ECU Health Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC.  Mr. Whaley was born August 1, 1950 in Lenoir County, NC to the late Ardell Whaley and Daisy Bell Foster Whaley. ​

A visitation will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 28, 2026 at Community Funeral Home in Rose Hill with burial to follow in Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey, NC.

Mr. Whaley is survived by sons, Albert Joseph Whaley of Wallace, Michael Anthony Harris of Magnolia; daughters, Emily Cavenaugh of Teachey, Frances Marie Nino of Wilmington; sisters, Carol Baysden of Willard and Brenda Whaley of Wallace; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and special friends, Linwood Hall of Teachey and Dennis DeCorpo of Rhode Island. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by wife, Judith Whaley; son, Joseph Thomas Whaley; daughters, Kristina Jo Whaley Brock and Judith Marie Hanchey; brother, Jedger Dell Whaley; and grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Whaley and Braxton Joseph Whaley.
