James “Bud” Marvin Bland

Warsaw - James “Bud” Marvin Bland, Sr., 80, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC.  Bud was born January 22, 1946 in Duplin County, NC to the late Bennie Mae Bland and Nancy Foss Bland.

A graveside service will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2026 in Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, NC.

Bud is survived by his loving wife, Judy Anderson Bland of the home; son, James Marvin Bland, Jr. and wife, Jeanie of Kenansville; daughter, Angela Bland Strickland and husband, Kenneth of Dunn; grandchildren, Joshua Strickland and wife, Brittany, Shane Strickland, Amanda Richardson and husband, Corey, Braxton Bland and wife, McKayla, Skyler Bland, and Rainer Mae Bland; great grandchildren, Kathleen, Michael, Abigayle, Jacob, Declan, and Jasmine Strickland, Dokoda Richardson, Everleigh  and Slayter James Bland.  He is also survived brothers, William Lara of FL and Kenneth Lara and wife, Dolly of VA; sister, Louise Bland of Goldsboro; brother-in-law, Charlie Vinciguerra of Goldsboro.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Vinciguerra and Frances Douglas.
