Brenda Kay Grady Higgins

​Kenansville- Brenda Kay Grady Higgins, 84, of Kenansville passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Gardens of Rose Hill. Brenda was born in Duplin County August 17, 1941 to the late Charles Grady and Hazel Brown Grady.
​
Brenda graduated from James Kenan and continued her education at Hardbargers . She retired from Hancock County Board of Education in Weirton, West Virginia. After retirement Brenda returned to Duplin County.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.

Left to cherish her memory are sister, Marie Grady Miller and husband, Richard of Beulaville, nieces and nephews, Kimberly Grady Quinn, Kevin Grady, Charles "Chuck" Grady, III, James Anthony Grady, Michelle Pinson, Stuart Miller and Autumn Grady.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Grady, Jr., Michael Lee Grady.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Gardens of Rose Hill for their loving care of Brenda.

I'll always remember Brenda with such fond memories of her wit and humor. Condolences to the family.

So very sorry to hear of Aunt Brenda’s passing. We were so blessed to have her as our aunt. Even after her divorce she was always a part of our family. She was a sweet loving person. I will always cherish the time I spent with her . Sending prayers to all of her family. Love her niece Michele Robinson
