![]() Warsaw-Wilmoth Lou Bacon Thomas, 84, of Warsaw passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Woodbury Wellness and Rehab of Hampstead. Mrs. Thomas was born July 12, 1939 in Chickasha, OK to the late Don Bacon and Ada Rappe Bacon. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Warsaw United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 11:00am. Left to cherish Mrs. Wimoth's memory are sons, Thomas D. Thomas of Warsaw, Kelly Thomas and wife, Sue of Fayetteville and Don Thomas and wife, Tammy of MD Joint Base Andrews; grandchildren, Kristen and Trey Cummings, Joel Thomas and Lindsay, Caven Thomas, Will Thomas and Tyler, Drew Thomas and Frankie and Jessica Thomas; great grandchildren, Camden Cummings, Ryder Cummings, Lillian Thomas, Rylee Thomas and Lucia Thomas. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by husband, William F. Thomas and sister, Carolyn Peterson.

Warsaw - Nora Grace Whitman Kornegay, 84, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Wilmington, NC. Mrs. Kornegay was born February 24, 1940 in Duplin County, NC to the late Garland Davis Whitman and Thelma Miller Whitman.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, NC. Mrs. Kornegay leaves behind to cherish her memories, son, Leslie Kornegay, Jr. and wife, Rose of Warsaw; grandchildren, Anthony Kornegay and wife, Nikki of Kenansville and Jeremy Cecil and wife, Crystal of Goldsboro; great grandchildren, Leah, Kayla, Annaleigh and Aubrey; brother, Steve Whitman and wife, Faye of Kenansville; sister, Judy Glazewski of Wilmington; nieces and nephews, Robert Whitman and wife, Dawn, Steven Whitman and wife, Shirley, Michael Glazewski and wife, Robin, Teresa Hart and husband, Ron, and Clarrisa Kosh and numerous great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lewis was born April 2, 1934 in Duplin County, NC to the late Willie Tucker and Lizzie Hare Tucker. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, Friday, December 13, 2024 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel and burial will conclude in the Pate Cemetery, Mount Olive, NC. Mrs. Lewis is survived by son, Jerry Dean Lewis and wife, Theresa of Washington, NC; step sons, David Lewis of Virginia Beach; daughters, Joyce Ann Toler of Beulaville, NC and Jeanette Jordan and husband, Randy of Faison; grandchildren, Melissa Lewis Jones and husband, Greg of Wallace, NC, Billy Keith Jackson of Matthews, NC, Sarah Henderson and Timmy of Faison, NC, Clarissa Bolden and Tommy of Beulaville, NC, and W D Brock of Kenly, NC; step grandchildren, Christy, Angela, Karen, Bobbie Jo, Brian and Karen; great grandchildren, Brennon Taylor Lewis, Cody Jones and Rylie Jones, Aiden Jackson, Timmy Henderson, Jr., Sam Henderson, Sarah Stewart, Gramly Deleone. Mr. Taylor was born in Duplin County December 8, 1935 to the late Eddie Taylor and Pearl Smith Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a carpenter by trade, but he was far more than that. He was a man of strong faith. He was an original member and deacon of West Duplin Free Will Baptist Church, original member of the First Original Free Will Baptist Church of Warsaw and a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. John's motto always was that he "lived this life for the next Life." He was never a man with idle hands. He worked eleven years for Murphy and after retirement in 2000 he went to work for Johnny Taylor Inc., Mr. John was also a very accomplished cook, and cooked for his children a couple of times a week. A visitation will be held Wednesday night December 11, 2024 from 7pm to 9pm at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens. Linda was born in Wayne County July 18, 1947 to the late Wilbur Clifton and Inez Andrews Clifton. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Warsaw Baptist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm also at the Church. Entombment will follow the services at Devotional Gardens Linda leaves to cherish her memory, son, Derek Batts and wife, Ashley of Apex, grandchildren, Caitlin Edwards, Colby Trantham and Lexi Trantham; brother Wilbur Clifton and wife Elaine of PA.
